Scattered Site Supportive Housing for HIV/AIDS Families |
This program was established 1993 in response to our
increasing awareness of the number of women at CareWays affected by
HIV/AIDS. Initially, NHHR provided housing units with supportive services
for 3 families. Currently, we provide 35 units of housing with comprehensive
services addressing myriad problems including the rigorous and complicated
medical regimen required to assure the most positive outcomes possible for
our tenants. NHHR was the first locally, and among the first statewide and
nationally, to develop this model of permanent scattered site, leased
housing with support services. |
Lucht Hall |
| Established in 1995 it provides permanent, affordable housing with supportive services for 8 families affected by HIV/AIDS. This program provides comprehensive services including support specific to this disease, including care as described above in 'Scattered Site Housing.' Female heads of household are predominant at Lucht Hall and Scattered Site Housing, but we also accommodate male heads of household with dependent children when needed. |
